Startup Pirates wants to break some rules, but being a Pirate takes discipline and focus. So, as Pirates in the old days had a Code of Conduct, Startup Pirates has its own Pirate Code:
Article 1: Every member of the crew must be an entrepreneur. She or him shall be an activist, revolutionary and make the most of the available opportunities.
Article 2: Each Pirate shall be bold, love novelty, aim to provoke change and always be ready to battle.
Article 3: No Pirate shall ever consider giving up their way of living. A Pirate seizes the day and fights for happiness.
Article 4: Every single member of the crew has to commit to learning because change is bound to happen and constant learning is the only way to succeed.
Article 5: Every Pirate must fight for what he believes in. But if they defraud the company, they shall be marooned! Nobody is allowed to quit, so, no one will be marooned.
Article 6: A Pirate doesn’t find limits nor in the sky, nor in the sea. The one that doesn’t follow this, shall suffer the punishment mentioned in the former Article.
Article 7: A Startup Pirate meets new people in every docking port.
Article 8: A Pirate follows the map, because although plans can change, having one is important.
Article 9: Every Pirate shall be Passionate. The passion for what we do is what sets us apart from those who surrender.
Article 10: Every member of the crew must be bold, open-minded and bright. Work hard, party harder.
